Best Vibe Coding Courses in 2026: Free and Paid, Compared
Most "best vibe coding courses" lists are written by someone selling a vibe coding course, and they put themselves first. So, full disclosure up front: I sell one too. It's on this list, with its price and who it's not for, and it's not first. The free ones are, because honestly you should start there.
I'm Robin. I've been coding since I was twelve, I was CTO at a couple of startups, and these days I let Claude write most of my code. I built NativeExpress, a React Native starter that's made $30k in sales so far. So I've seen a lot of people try to go from an idea to a real app with AI, and where they get stuck.
Everything below is from each course's own page, as of October 22, 2026.
The short version

The free ones
Claude Code 101, by Anthropic
Anthropic's own course, and it's free. It covers what Claude Code is, how you work with it every day, and then CLAUDE.md files, subagents, skills, MCP servers and hooks. There's a quiz at the end, and you get a completion certificate.
Who it's for: the page says developers, either new to software engineering or experienced. You're expected to know your way around a code editor and the command line a bit, and you need a Claude Pro or Max plan or an API key.
My take: if you can code even a little, do this first. It's free, and it comes from Anthropic itself, which matters because Claude Code changes every few weeks.
Claude Code for Everyone
A free course by Carl Vellotti, not made by Anthropic. It's built for non-technical people: "No coding experience required. No terminal experience required." The clever part is that you don't watch videos. You install the Claude desktop app, paste one prompt, and Claude itself walks you through 16 lessons on real files. The second module sets up a project, saves it to GitHub and puts it live on Vercel.
You need Claude Pro or Max to run it, so it's $20 a month for the plan, but the course itself is free.
My take: the best free start if you've never touched a terminal.
Claude Code Full Course, by freeCodeCamp
A 1.5-hour video course on freeCodeCamp's YouTube channel, from August 2026. It goes from setting up Claude Code in VS Code to skills, MCP, GitHub and deploying an app. freeCodeCamp also has a much longer one by Andrew Brown if you want depth.
My take: good if you just want to watch somebody do the whole thing once.
Vibe Coding 101 with Replit, by DeepLearning.AI
A short course built with Replit: 7 video lessons, 1 hour 34 minutes. You build two web apps in the browser and put both online. It's free while their learning platform is in beta. The certificate needs their paid membership.
My take: the fastest way to see the idea working without installing anything. It's web apps on Replit, though, so not mobile.
The paid ones
AI for Vibe Coding, on Coursera
A 7-hour beginner course by AI CERTs, included in Coursera Plus, with a shareable certificate. It goes from prompting to debugging, a small full-stack app, security and AI agents, and ends in a capstone project.
My take: worth it if the certificate matters to you, for example for your employer.
Vibe Coding Academy
Vibe Coding Academy sells a self-paced Master Course (52 lessons, about 9.5 hours, with Lovable and Cursor). It also runs live cohorts on Maven, like "Ship Your First SaaS with Claude Code". Their own comparison page lists the Master Course at $299 and a Pro plan at $49 a month.
My take: aimed at product managers and product builders, and at web apps and SaaS. Nothing on their site mentions mobile apps.
My course: NativeExpress
Here's mine, with the same honesty I tried to give the others.
- What it is: 8 modules, for people who use AI but have never really built anything with it. You start with the basics nobody explains (what GitHub, the terminal and an API key are), then build your own app on your phone from a ready-made app skeleton. Then come a paywall that actually charges, getting through Apple's review, your website, and AI agents for your business.
- What's different: it's the only course on this list about mobile apps and the App Store. That's what I know best: I built NativeExpress for my own apps, and my own app still got rejected by Apple twice.
- Price: $99 as a founding pre-order until October 31, then $299 once all 8 modules are out. Module 1 comes out on October 31, and the rest follows week by week. 14 days money back.
- Who it's not for: developers who just want to learn Claude Code's features. Take Anthropic's free course instead.
How I'd choose
- You can't code and you've never opened a terminal: start with Claude Code for Everyone. It's free, and you learn inside Claude itself.
- You can code a bit: do Anthropic's Claude Code 101. It's free and comes straight from Anthropic.
- You want to see the idea working in an hour: DeepLearning.AI's Replit course.
- You need a certificate: Coursera.
- You want a real app in the App Store, with payments that work: that's what my course is for. The free courses mostly stop at "it runs" or "it's on a website". The hard part comes after that: login that actually checks the password, data that isn't only on the phone, keys that aren't inside the app, and Apple.
I learned that the hard way. I gave Claude an empty folder and asked for a habit tracker with login and a subscription. Twenty minutes later it looked done. Then I tried it: login took any email and any password, the data never left the phone, and the subscribe button didn't charge anyone. That's the gap.

Can you learn vibe coding without knowing how to code?

Which vibe coding course has a certificate?
Anthropic's Claude Code 101 gives a completion certificate for free. Coursera's AI for Vibe Coding includes a shareable certificate with Coursera Plus. DeepLearning.AI's certificate needs their paid membership.
